General Questions

Q1: What system are you upgrading?

A1: The data processing system is being upgraded. The data processor is the computer system we use to maintain members' accounts and to process transactions. While upgrades and enhancements were installed regularly, NCCU has been using the same processing system for nearly five years.

Q2: Why did NCCU upgrade its system?

A2: While our existing processing system is fine and has been good to us over the last five years, we will now have the ability to immediately become more efficient and offer our members enhanced services by working with a new system provider.

The new processing system is capable of supporting strategies and growth for continued service enhancements well into the future. These improvements will allow us to focus more on you, our members, rather than data entry.

Q3: When will the Core Conversion happen?

A3: We will close at 3:00pm on Friday, September 30, and remain closed through Monday, October 3, 2016. Online home banking and Co-Op Shared Branching will also be down as we complete the upgrade.

Q4: Will I still be able to use my debit card/credit card?

A4: Yes. However, your debit card limits will decrease during the conversion. Credit card limits will not change.
Debit card limits during conversion:
           - ATM $205 (includes fee, if assessed)
           - POS $500

Q5: Do I need to order a new NCCU VISA Debit/ATM or Credit card?

A5: No. You do not need to order a new card. Your NCCU debit/ATM and Visa Platinum Rewards credit cards will continue to function normally.

Q6: Can I use Shared Branching during the conversion?

A6: No. Shared Branching will not be accessible during conversion.  You will still be able to use your debit card at shared branching ATM’s, but your limits will be decreased during the conversion.

Direct Deposits, Automatic Payments, and Transfers Questions

Q11: Will my direct deposit or automatic payments continue to post after the system upgrade?

A11: Yes. All direct deposits and automatic payments to or from any of your NCCU accounts will continue to be processed as usual.

If you find that your direct deposit funds start going to a different suffix number, you will need to notify the payee (employer or provider) of your new suffix number. Oftentimes, you can use your account number followed by the 3-digit suffix number.

Q12: Will my automatic transfers between my NCCU accounts continue to post after the system upgrade?

A12: Yes. Automatic transfers between your respective NCCU accounts (ex: from your NCCU checking to your NCCU savings) will continue to post as they did prior to the system upgrade. Automatic Fund Transfers (AFTs) are now completed at the end of the day.

Q13: Will automatic payments from third party vendors be processed on the scheduled date?

A13: Yes. Scheduled payments from third party vendors will be processed on authorized payment dates (ex: mortgage and credit card payments).

Q14: Will my automatic ACH loan payment set up from another financial institution continue to post after the system upgrade?

A14: Yes. Automatic ACH loan payments transferred from an outside financial institution will continue to process normally after the system upgrade.

Online Banking Questions

Q16: Will my saved bookmark/favorite for the online banking remain the same?

A16: No. There will be a new site address for the new online banking platform 'It’s Me 247'. You can continue to login to online banking from our home page.

Q17: Will the system upgrade affect how I log in to online banking?

Q18: Will the system upgrade affect the way I can see all of my account relationships (joint ownership or co-maker) with NCCU?

A18: Yes. Our new online banking platform will temporarily only allow you to see accounts that you are primary on. Joint accounts, such as your spouses's account, will not be visible until we recreate those account relationships. However, you can now transfer to any account if you know the account number and first two letters of the primary account holder's last name.

Q19: Will I still be able to make transfers to and from all of my account relationships (joint ownerships)?
