The Beginning of a New Era at NCCU

Walter Marx- CEO of Northern Colorado Credit UnionGREELEY, Colorado – We are grateful for the time, effort and hard work that Walter Marx has put in, as the CEO of Northern Colorado Credit Union; he has decided to step down and start a new chapter in his life. Walt served as CEO for 16 years and with his leadership he transformed, reorganized and enhanced Northern Colorado Credit Union into the premier financial institution it is today.

“For the past 16 years, I have enjoyed working with our members and volunteers to make Northern Colorado Credit Union the great place it is,” said Marx. “It’s time for a change for me and I’m looking forward to what awaits me in 2016.”

Marx plans to work with his brother at a ranch in early 2016.  “I’m looking forward to a change of pace. It will be an adventure, that’s for sure,” said Marx. “I will miss the camaraderie that comes from working in the credit union industry. It has truly been a pleasure to be a part of such a great industry where the focus is on helping people reach their financial goals and ultimately helping them achieve their dreams. The relationships I’ve made over the years are priceless and I am so thankful for the opportunities I’ve had as well.”

NCCU will miss Walt. His bright and full of life attitude will be hard to replace. NCCU is looking forward to welcoming our new CEO to the team at the end of February. We are prepared for this transitional period and are ready to implement the new ideas that will come with a new leader. As far as the credit union goes, NCCU will still be the same, friendly organization that everyone is used to.

“We’re going to miss the leadership and strength of Walt,” said Mike Thacker, current Board Chairman at NCCU. “He has provided the direction we’ve needed to move our Credit Union into a new and exciting future. We wish him all the best on his new adventure.”
